"I've started swimming in the ocean at night sometimes," Arden said, starting to make herself some tea. "All that exercise, followed by a hot shower to get the salt off usually puts me right to bed, but I already washed my hair and--" She waved the rest of that off, figuring it would be too much to explain.
"But yeah, kinda," she said, touching the silk of the scarf and smiling a little at the compliment. "Cotton dries hair out and can create friction damage. I can't afford silk pillowcases, so I sleep in a silk scarf to keep my hair moisturized and healthy." Her smile grew a little bigger. "We can't all have hair that somehow survives months of three-in-one while looking good."
